Fighting a personal vendetta against pain.

Originally wanting to keep myself feeling healthy in strength training, my interest in massage eventually - over a period of several years - lead me to pursuing an education in clinical massage therapy at the New Hampshire Institute for Therapeutic Arts - the only COMTA accredited school in the state.

Originally wanting to keep myself feeling healthy in strength training, my interest in massage eventually - over a period of several years - lead me to pursuing an education in clinical massage therapy at the New Hampshire Institute for Therapeutic Arts - the only COMTA accredited school in the state.

Years ago I gradually became more interested in seeing if the few clumsy techniques I used on myself would help others... primarily reluctant family. Eventually, people started getting much less reluctant and friends started recruiting while telling me I should really go to school for massage.  If they thought I was that naturally inclined towards manual therapy and bringing physical healing to people, I began to wonder what I could really be able to do if I actually knew what I was doing and had formal training. So, I decided to believe them and took their advice.

It took me about 3 years between the time I decided I wanted to pursue formal massage therapy education and training and the time I finally found the right program that would teach me how to perform clinically effective, therapeutically meaningful work that would enable me to give my clients  the best chance of feeling the biggest improvement after the limited time I had with them. I found NHITA the week before their next program started. After touring the school I applied, registered, and started the next week. ...One of the best decisions I ever made.

Thoroughly explained the process and what he was going to do, what he was doing in the moment, and follow up steps.

This was my first visit, and I was impressed. For years, I’ve struggled with neck and shoulder tightness due to stress, past injuries, and poor posture. During my session, Joseph took the time to assess my specific issues and tailored his treatment to address them directly. I was amazed at how effectively he targeted these areas—I felt more relief in one visit than I have with many other therapists over the years. His expertise and understanding of my condition were evident, and his techniques provided immediate results. Additionally, the staff does their best to create a calming and welcoming atmosphere, which added to the experience. I recommend Joseph to anyone dealing with similar discomfort.

Joe is amazing to say the least! His knowledge of massage and how that correlates to my pain so he can treat an area is remarkable. He listens to my words, then he listens to my muscles. Make an appointment, you will not be sorry.

Joe can do whatever work you need done. He can get to the hard knotted spots. He will follow your direction for pressure and where you need help the most. I've been working with him for years.
