Hello and very nice to meet you! My name is Maricel, pronounced Mar-eee-cell. I prefer Mar. I was born in Medellin, Colombia, adopted in 2000 and have resided in Madison, WI since that time. In 2015-16, I attended the Therapeutic Massage Program at Madison College to challenge myself and learn more about the human body. Growing up, I suffered from sciatica, which stemmed from natural hyper-mobility, over stretching, and years of dancing. I had an extreme sciatic flare-up in 2014 during a trip abroad and lost complete feeling in both legs. I received integrated treatments, such as sports massage, craniosacral therapy, integrated massage, chiropractic care, physical therapy, and electro-therapy to stimulate cell growth. Since then, I've been appreciative of bodywork as it has helped me to manage my symptoms and heal. As a licensed massage therapist, my goal is to offer every individual that comes to my table deep relaxation, a holistic mind-body connection, and sincere gratitude towards their own body in order to self-correct and heal. I personally would like to welcome you to Unabodi with yourself.

Mar is one of the best masseuses I have had in a long, long time. It is clear that she cares deeply about her clients well being by taking notes and referring back to them to provide you with the best care. Not to mention she is VERY sweet natured and highly professional. I have seen MANY masseuses in my life, I would say about 15-20 different ones and NO ONE compares to Mar. She is the only one that I have consistently gone back to, I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend her.

My experience with Mar was incredible. Not only was Mar herself very welcoming and made me feel very comfortable, but the room was great too. Nice and warm and the music played combined with the pressure of the massage made it feel almost trance-like. Highly recommended!
