Growing up with and
learning from my rural Chinese grandmother-healer created the foundation
for my passion for healing through massage. I come from the Old China
lineage and approach massage as a matter of energy - qi. With strong
flowing qi you feel better, your immune system is stronger and pain is
reduced - all good things to experience! So the first thing you need to
know about me is that my massage is energy-based and healing-oriented.
Regular Maintenance Massage.
I suggest that everyone gets regular massage for maintenance - my
recommendation is once a month. It's important to keep your body clear
so you can function with clarity and ease. Regular massage helps to
clear out accumulated emotional junk and frees up stagnant qi.
Targeted Massage Sessions.
I also strongly believe that many new or chronic issues can be resolved
with a short round of targeted massage sessions. I've had good success
treating people over as few as three sessions to deal with pain,
depression, sleeping problems, stiffness, limited range of motion, etc.
Free Trial Massage.
Every Sunday from 1-3 pm I hold my office open for walk-ins who want to
try a free short trial massage (5-10 minutes) and ask me questions.
This is a good way to find out if you would be comfortable with my
approach to massage and like the massage space before booking an
appointment.
Great Location and Hours.
My office is located in the beautiful Quarry Arts Building right next
to Whole Foods on University Avenue in Madison, Wisconsin. I'm
available five days a week Wednesday through Sunday. People who can't
get free M-F appreciate the weekend opportunity.
By the way, I
also teach my own style of Qi Gong, the ancient set of movements that
massages your insides, builds strength, increases your flexibility and
range of motion, and helps calm your mind. Call me about it at
608-632-0214 or see my website for more information.
