Most of us are physiologically imbalanced. Few people have perfect posture: our heads jut forward, our shoulders roll in, or maybe an injury causes our walk to favor one leg. These imbalances are what cause pain. Sometimes it's acute; sometimes it's a slow burn that develops over time. My personal mission is to look at you, your life, your activities, and see where these imbalances are and figure out how to correct them. I don't use magic tricks, just science (and a little intuition). I'd like to think of myself as the Alton Brown of massage therapy.
I employ a variety of techniques to customize each massage, based in Swedish, and drawing from trigger point, hydrotherapy, active inhibition, and connective tissue work, just to name a few. Don't be afraid of the word “therapeutic”- to some, a relaxation massage is therapy, and I'm happy to oblige! Whether you're a desk jockey or training for a marathon, we'll figure out the right treatment for you.
