His work is focused, sensitive, and interactive — often incorporating breath, awareness, and movement education on and off the table. Alex believes bodywork is about relating to and working with the entire human being — mind, body, and kiai (spirit) — and is a process of development and refinement for both client and practitioner.
Alex graduated from the University of Hawaii with a degree in East Asian Philosophy. He is certified in Integral Bodywork® from Everett Ogawa in Chicago and Zen Bodytherapy® from Audrey Nakamura in Honolulu. He is also a Level II Certified Provider of TRE® Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises developed by Dr. David Berceli, and trained in the Myofascial Release Approach® as taught by John F. Barnes. Additionally, Alex is in the certification program for Zero Balancing® under the mentorship of David Laden. Alex graduated from the East West Healing Arts Institute in Madison, WI – an 800 hour degree program that focuses on eastern and western integrated approaches to therapeutic bodywork.
