My name is Erika and I am the owner and licensed massage therapist at Superior Massage Therapy.  I am trained in neuromuscular therapy, sports massage, Rock Blades (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation) Rock Tape (Kinesiology Tape), Rock Pods (Myofascial Cupping), and certified in myofascial release. After receiving my Bachelors degree in Sport Science from Northern Michigan University I completed my massage education from Ann Arbor Instituted for Massage Therapy.

I became interested in massage therapy so that I could help people. Massage is a great way for active people to continue doing the activities you love and that is my goal as a therapist.   I want you to come see me and leave feeling better. It is important to be proactive in your own health. The best way to do that is to do everything you can to stay healthy; being active and eating healthy are a great place to start! My role as a massage therapist is to keep you doing what you love.

When I'm not at work, I am an outdoor enthusiast who is currently training for Half Iron Man distance triathlon.  I also enjoy mountain biking, rock climbing, hiking, camping, snowboarding, and hanging out with my husband and our dog, (not necessarily in that order). I believe that being active and living healthy plays a huge role in the happiness we experience in life, and I encourage everyone to do what you love and love what you do!

Erika is great. We discuss problem areas before the treatment and she is very knowledgeable on the utilizing the best technique for the specific troubled area. I play hockey at least 3x a week and having Superior is a weekly lifesaver.
