10 years and 2 Fortune 50 companies into my professional life, I decided I was ready to listen to the voice that had been telling me, "It is possible to make a positive difference in people's lives while doing something you love AND making money." As I was evaluating career paths that could give me these things, I reflected on how receiving traditional Greek Cupping Therapy from my grandmother inspired a great respect for Complimentary and Alternative Medicine early in life. This ultimately led me to enroll in the ~1000 hour Massage Therapy Spa Specialist program at Everest College Seattle.
Near the end of my schooling in 2011, I witnessed a Cupping Therapy demonstration by Dr. Jesse MacLean, Director of the International Cupping Therapy Association. I was awed and inspired as I realized how she had thoroughly modernized ~2,000 years of Cupping tradition, and in doing so, had vastly expanded how and on where negative pressure could be used (over bones, joints, etc.). Within days of graduating, I took the first of three intensive workshops from Dr. MacLean and earned the Certified Cupping Therapist designation (CCT). 3 years later, I was honored to be selected as an Educator In Training for the ICTA, and now hold the Certified Cupping Educator designation (CCE).
I specialize in Massage Cupping Therapy and Facial Rejuvenation, also called "negative pressure massage." Massage Cupping Therapy is a safe, comfortable, and highly effective way to address many issues including chronic pain, injury recovery, lack of mobility, orthopedic conditions, detoxification, insomnia, depression, and much more. It is also the favored manual therapy of world-class athletes like Olympic Gold Medalist Nathan Adrian, as well as Portland Trail Blazers center Chris Kaman. Those whose careers demand they always look their best are also big fans of Massage Cupping - Jennifer Aniston, Gwyneth Paltrow, Beyoncé, and many more.
My practice is located in Lynnwood, Washington. Easy access to and from I-5 & free parking. Evening and weekend appointments are available.
When I'm not providing Cupping Therapy, I'm teaching other health care practitioners including Massage Therapists, Acupuncturists, Chiropractors, Nurses, Athletic Trainers, Physical Therapists, Physicians, and others how to do so. I love what I do, and my patients and students see and feel it!
