I’ve always been drawn to movement and sports that challenge the body’s mechanics. I trained and competed in gymnastics at a high level for 10 years and understand the rigors and impact of training 30+ hours a week. After gymnastics, I focused my energy on intensive ballet training before heading to college.
Following many years in the software industry, I began transitioning back toward movement as my primary activity, first by becoming a Bikram Yoga instructor. A few years later, I was introduced to orthopedic Pilates and orthopedic massage while rehabbing a hip injury. Through that therapy, I found the combination of Pilates and orthopedic massage to be so effective that I was inspired to switch careers and become a therapist. At the same time, I returned to gymnastics as a coach at West Valley Gymnastics School in Campbell.
I’ve worked with young elite athletes, professional dancers, recreational cyclists and runners, and know that whatever the level, whatever your activities demand, you want your body to be at its best.
