Cathy "Cat" Kim hails from Washington, DC via Charleston, SC. She attended a 900 hour Neuromuscular Therapy program the Southeastern School of Neuromuscular Therapy in Charleston, SC. The program focused on NMT, Deep Tissue, Stretching, and Swedish massage techniques. She has experience working in chiropractic offices where she treated clients with acute and chronic pain from sports, accidents, and old habits. She also operated her own business in South Carolina, and worked in the spa industry where she learned to do more "feel good" massages, and brings that experience to provide a high class, comfortable environment to her therapeutic sessions.
Cathy is also a graduate student at the number one Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine school in California, Emperor's College. She hopes to be able to provide acupuncture and herbal medicines in conjunction with massage in the future.
"Pain or discomfort can travel to other areas of the body, and it might be coming from a completely different area the client may have never thought of. My goal is to find the cause of the pain by evaluating posture and alignment, and working on the appropriate muscle. Educating the client is also important, so they can be aware of what daily patterns are causing them discomfort."
