Laurie Sparkman Grissom has over twenty-four plus years of experience as a Registered Nurse. Laurie has always believed in the innate ability of the body to heal itself when supported with nutrition and freed of harmful stressors. Seven years ago, Laurie contemplated a career change that would take her training in therapeutic touch to the next level. Two years ago, Laurie followed her heart and with over 500 hours of training in the Healing Arts is now also a practicing Licensed Massage Therapist and co-founder of Replenishing Me. Laurie specializes in Integrative therapy incorporating multiple modalities to provide therapy personalized to the specific needs of each client. Laurie values the importance of self-care after personally experiencing two hospitalizations that resulted from her own lack of self-care and now routinely receives bodywork as well as practicing other methods of self-care. Laurie is lover of all the Arts. She enjoys gardening, fishing, and cooking. Laurie is an avid traveler and explorer of nature (two favorites - Kauai and Costa Rica). She has a strong faith and loves her family. Laurie is thankful most of her family lives nearby. Laurie is blessed with and proud of her four children, all gifted with talents in at least one of the arts and all have chosen service-oriented professions. Also known as Yia Yia, Laurie has learned how grand it is to be a grandparent. Laurie always looks forward to meeting you at her table or chair and is quoted saying, "I do not believe we are broken, maybe a little twisted or bent by the winds of change." She hit every problem area & exact spot in that area without the need of my direction. Also, she didn't MASH the real problem areas. Some Other Places really dig in Before loosening up the area. Not Laurie, she loosened the area up first & worked her way through the Big Knots. The next day, I did NOT feel like I had been beat up.
