Erica received her Bachelor of Science in Education-(Exercise Science) at the University of Kansas. She graduated from PCI in 2005 as a Certified Massage Therapist. Immediately after graduation she became Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB). She has been fortunate to have worked with thousands of people over her ten years in practice.  Anatomy and physiology of the human body continues to be fascinating to her. She prides herself not only in the knowledge gained from experience but from her own driving force to learn more and to be better. Some adjectives that may describe Erica's work/technique are thorough, specific, sport specific, and/or deep tissue (trigger point, myofascial). Clients she has been involved with range from high school athletes, KU and other collegiate athletics, and professional athletes. She believes that massage plays a vital role in the maintenance, injury prevention, and recovery of all individuals trying to better their lives/wellness.  Practicing what she believes in and helping others to attain all that they can be is important to her.  Eating healthy, exercise and monthly massages are a part of Erica's life regimen. She hopes we all are inspired in our lives to be the best that we can be, whether that be mentally or physically, in order to live on the competitive edge of life!

Erica is literally the best. She is incredibly intuitive and perceptive in her massage technique which always leads to notable relief from pain and the somatic symptoms of stress and anxiety. Regular massage with Erica has become a cornerstone of my self-care. Another commenter noted that there is a code to enter the building which he/she felt was a negative. This has never been an impediment for me and I appreciate the added security/safety. And, even if it was an impediment, Erica is worth the wait and any minor inconvenience that may result from the code protected entry!

The building has a keypad lock on the door and the code was not provided for entry. Apart from that I would say that the massage was okay, nothing exceptional.

Erica listened to me explain my health concerns and recovery journey. She was able to listen, assess, and advise within a 30-minute massage session which felt like much longer. She told me exactly what I needed to hear and provided beneficial feedback about my concerns. The massage was great, but honestly even if it weren't, I cannot express enough how grateful I am to have encountered her at this point in my recovery. She was able to describe the mental/psychological component of healing in a way that fundamentally shifted my perspective in a way I was not expecting. She helped me overcome the mental hurdle keeping me stagnant, and I was able to start implementing her advice in a meaningful way immediately. She was honest about her areas of expertise, very easy to speak to and understand, and did not push more massage as the answer to addressing my chronic pain. That being said, I will be scheduling a massage with her in the future.
