My education in massage therapy has taken me from Hawaii to California, spanned the better part of seven years with more than 1000 hours of instruction, and given me a very thorough understanding of what it takes to provide the best possible experience for my clients.
My initial reason for becoming a massage therapist was formed during my time working in the circus with my family. I saw how easy it was to become injured, how difficult these injuries made daily life and how much relief a simple massage provided. I made it my goal to learn massage so that some day I could provide that same feeling of relief and relaxation to my clients.
I began my formal education in massage therapy at the White Lotus Healing Arts school of massage in Hawi, Hawaii. After graduating at the top of my class I moved to Antioch, California where I enrolled at Western Career College in order to fulfill the state requirements to become eligible to practice as a California massage therapist.
This double education has given me important insight into determining the best therapy for each client. It is this aspect of massage therapy that I find to be the most satisfying. Every client will have his or her own expectations and requirements that must be assessed and then met for a truly special experience.
