After graduating high school Nikkie attended Temple University in Philadelphia and continued her studies in allied health care by obtaining her Bachelor's in Science majoring in Therapeutic Recreation, specializing in Geriatric care, Alzheimer's and Dementia. After completing an extensive internship in the Transitional Care Unit at The Abramson Center for Jewish life Nikkie accepted a position as Director of Therapeutic Recreation at Stapeley a Continuing Care Retirement Community. All the while continuing her studies in massage therapy and holistic health. Passion for Massage Although a rewarding position Nikkie's passion for massage therapy grew stronger and she decided to continue her academic pursuits by attending the Northern Virginia School of Therapeutic Massage in Falls Church, completing over 450 hours in training hours; moving on to work at a very successful high volume massage therapy clinic. Professional Massage Therapist As a professional Massage Therapist Nikkie works with individuals who have had previous injuries, chronic pain, fibromyalgia, stress induced pain, as well as clients looking for physical improvements through sports and swedish massage. Nikkie individualizes each therapy session to suit the specific needs of her clients while extending her knowledge, expertise, and encouraging clients to maintain self care and make healthy decision in between therapy sessions.
