I had the opportunity as an early 30's woman to reevaluate my life and finally decide what I wanted to be when I grew up. At the time, I had been a CrossFit athlete for several years as well as a coach to my peers. Being a Coach, I could see many athletes who did not take care of their bodies outside of the gym which ultimately lead to poor performance, or the inability to workout due to aches and pains. I knew I wanted to help my fellow Crossfitters to learn to care for their bodies by incorporating recovery and wellness into their fitness routine. This all lead me to a career in massage therapy.
I graduated with highest honors from the massage therapy program at Everest College in June of 2017 and began my own business, Flourish Massage and Bodywork, in July of 2017. Since that time, I have had the pleasure of working on many CrossFit athletes as well as people from all walks of life. Each person is unique and has their own needs and I enjoy putting all the puzzle pieces together to create the best care plan possible. I love being able to help people feel their best, and massage therapy has given me the opportunity to help others every single day. I continue to coach CrossFit as well as work out, and I honestly believe being a coach makes me a better massage therapist and being a massage therapist makes me a much better CrossFit coach. It truly is a pleasure to help others reach their own potential to flourish in life.

I have been coaching CrossFit since 2013, and participating as an athlete since 2012. Being a coach has helped me be a better massage therapist because I feel it gives me a better understanding of movement and the muscles necessary to carry out motion. This allows me to target problem areas when my clients need relief from aches and pains.
I receive my certification from Eat to Perform in May of 2016 and worked as a nutrition coach serving my CrossFit athletes. Through my certification, I learned the best ways to fuel a body for high performance in the gym and during athletic endeavors.
In January 2017, I earned my certification through Rock Tape (a brand of Kinesio Tape). The tape is applied to clients and can help with posture, controlling movement, ROM, aches and pains, stabilizing joints, reducing inflammation and/or bruising, etc.
