I firmly believe that in order to reach and maintain optimal health you must take into consideration all aspects of the mind-body complex and to achieve lasting results you must first find the root of the problem and work from the source. I have been experimenting with different types of bodywork and alternative therapies for years and after experiencing Amma myself, I finally found an integrated avenue in health that supported my belief in treating the person as a whole. I am a Certified Amma Therapist, Reiki I practitioner, and a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT). In practicing Amma Therapy, I am able to combine my love of helping others, my Psychology background, Taoist Philosophy and the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine to help bring the client into a state of physical, mental, and emotional balance supporting the body’s amazing capacity to heal itself.

My training as an Amma Therapist included Eastern and Western Anatomy, Physiology, Kinesiology, Pathology, Asian Bodywork techniques, complementary techniques (cupping, moxibustion, gua sha), Swedish massage, movement arts (T’ai Chi and Qigong), Chinese and Western herbs and supplements, TCM food energetics and Holistic Nutrition.

As a therapist, I listen to my clients and then work together with them to create a custom treatment plan to help them reach their health goals. I believe that the client not only needs to be heard but that they also need to be an active participant in their journey and overall health plan.
