Hello! I'm Jillian, Licensed Massage Therapist. It's a pleasure having you here! Let me tell you a bit about myself. I was going to school for Early Childhood Developement back in 2002/2003 and in the summer of 2003 I recieved my first slice of heaven. I had my first massage ever! It was such an amazing experience I decided to look into schools where I may be able to become a massage therapist. I decided to attend Baker College in Clinton Township for a Certification in Therapeutic Massage. As the door shut to Early Childhood Development, another fantastic door opened for Massage Therapy! I began my journey at Baker College back in 2004, and graduated with honors in 2006! I have been practicing ever since. I absolutely love helping people feel better, not only physically, but mentally as well! I am a firm believer of the power of mind over body. I am a Level 3 Healing Touch practitioner as well as a Reiki Master. Both modalities are called "energy work," where I work with your energy, your biofield. It is done with clothing on, and I place my hands on different energy centers of the body. I may or may not physically touch you. The idea is to help you heal yourself on a deeper, more emotional level. Once you can heal your deeper self, you can physically heal. I am also a Certified Infant Massage Instructor. I hold classes either one on one or in a small group setting with baby and their caregiver. I teach you how to massage your baby! It is a fantastic way to bond with your new little addition and also has plenty of benefits for your little one. I specialize in deep tissue, therapeutic massage as well as trigger point therapy, sports massage, Swedish and myofacial release work. I am trained in hot stone massage and prenatal as well. My goal for the next couple years is to become certified in Cranial Sacral, Ashiatsu, and Bamboo Fusion techniques. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask!
