My training as a Massage Therapist took place at the Health Enrichment Center in Lapeer, Michigan.  What inspired me to pursue the path of massage therapy was seeing first hand the overwhelmingly positive effects that massage has on pain management and well-being for patients in health-care and hospice settings.  Working as a CNA for more than 10 years, it has always been in my heart to help and care for others.

For me, personally, the value of massage therapy is immeasurable.  In 2011, I was involved in a serious auto accident resulting in challenging injuries.  Even after great medical care and extensive physical therapy, I was still taking pain medication daily just to get through the day.  It was massage therapy that enabled me to break free from medication use.  I was amazed at how much regular massage work helps with not only pain management, but with stress management as well. 

I have learned that our bodies are naturally designed to heal themselves-  and massage is an excellent facilitator in that healing process!   I absolutely love the work I do, because it is wonderful for me to see that it really, really helps people feel better.  My goal as a massage therapist is to meet you where you are at in your healing journey. Each session will be customized for what is best for you at that time.
