Physical Therapist Assistant

Have worked primarily in inpatient rehabilitation settings with a variety of conditions, illnesses and injuries including hip and knee replacement, cardiac, stroke, back surgery, amputation, dementia, difficulty walking, motor vehicle accidents, etc. Frequent modalities used include gait and transfer training, therapeutic exercise, electric stimulation, ultrasound, and diathermy; soft tissue massage used when appropriate to increase range of motions, decrease edema, improve circulation and decrease pain. Additionally, I have a fitness background including Group Exercise Instructor, Personal Trainer, Water Aerobics instructor, and Life Guard. While I am new to massage I feel my background in fitness and physical therapy with knowledge of functional and structural anatomy and movement gives me a huge head start. I am also very comfortable and experienced in working with disabled and elderly populations.

Massage therapist and Physical Therapy Assistant Jeanne Priest was the best Massage Therapist I have ever been to in the many years I’ve gone for massage therapy! She was referred to me by a PTA at Kaiser Permanente. I’ve had soreness and stiffness since I broke my humerus and Jeanne worked magic when finding the muscles in my rotator cuff that are tight. During the massage I was able to get even more of my range of motion back and will follow up with her soon. Also, she taught me how to use a technique to check on my posture which has caused pain in my shoulders because of poor positioning of my shoulders.

This was my second massage with Jeanne and I’ll be seeing her again. She does a wonderful job of relaxing deep muscle tension.

In one session she can find your known--and unknown--knots to be undone! It sounds trite, but I truly felt like a different person after seeing her yesterday. It's amazing how her subtle adjustments, along with a massage that's just the right measure of pressure, relieved pain I've had for the last year. I'm looking forward to my next appointments, and maintaining this feeling.

Very nice clinic. Extremely pleased with Jeanne. I couldn’t ask for more. She takes time to ensure that I am doing better. She also has knowledgeable advice on what I need to work on. I highly recommend Knot to be Undone Massage.
