Hello, my name is Melisa. I am the owner and licensed massage practitioner within the vibrant neighborhood of Kennewick Washington. For many insightful years, I have been involved in the massage industry gaining experience within a spa and chiropractic office. Later on, I branched out on my own, running my business now for a few years.
Like most practitioner’s my story starts out with family and friends asking me to massage them every time I walked into the room because I was the only one that could last for more than 5 minutes. After graduating high school, God called me to a small town called Buchanan Dam in Texas. A short time after I moved, I met my former partner that is a quadriplegic. (A person affected by paralysis of all four limbs.) Daily he would experience muscle spasm’s strong enough to throw him out of his chair, along with muscle hypertension and pain. As time passed, I would notice how massaging him helped alleviate the tension and pain that he felt. I was astonished by the relief he would feel by just massaging him. Knowing I've always wanted to help people and was fascinated with the human body, I fell in love with massage therapy and knew that this is what I wanted to do.
I've graduated from two trade schools. The U.S. Career Institute and Victoria's Academy of Cosmetology finishing with 1,245 hours of school and hands-on experience. As a body worker, I am able to develop a customized session that deals with your health and lifestyle concerns. I offer a therapeutic approach to massage using Swedish massage, deep tissue, cupping, trigger point, acupressure, sinus drainage, restorative and rehabilitative sports massage, hot stone and IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization). With options of adding aromatherapy or state approved CBD hemp oil treatment to the massage.
My clients have told me that they call me exclusively for a number of reasons. The most prominent reason being that they see results, not only immediately, but an overall increased sense in their well-being. My promise to myself and to my clients is to constantly try to find different added ways that can help move you towards recovery. Whether it be a nice relaxing massage get away from life's stress's or getting those knotty knots out. With a big passion and love for what I do, I welcome you to my practice and would be delighted to assist you in your holistic health journey.
