((((ALOHA MAI)))) My name is Pihanalani, I am a Part- Hawaiian,Christian Woman from the island of Molokai in Hawaii.  I studied Swedish Massage, Pre-natal Massage, and Hydrotherapy at Texas Healing Arts Institute(THAI) in Austin, Texas.  Later, returning to my homeland of Hawai'i Nei; I studied  Advanced Swedish Massage Therapy, Acupressure, Chi Nei Tsang, and the basics for a few other healing modalities at American Institute of Massage Therapy(AIMT)in Kailua on the island of 'Oahu.  Through AIMT, I was introduced to the late Uncle Alva Andrews and Leina'ala Bright.  I studied under Uncle Alva Andrews learning the basics of Ka Pa Ola Hawaii Style Lomilomi.

I later returned from 'Oahu to Molokai, to assist with the care of my now late Paternal Grandmother.  My first few years on Molokai was spent attending Maui Community College- Molokai, where I studied in the field of Human Services and also Agricultural Studies.  Simultaneously,  while helping with my grandmother and attending Maui Community College- Molokai, I also joined in and actively participated in a Halau( School) called Halau O Limaloa ( A.K.A. Kalama Foundation/ Na Halau Kalama).  During my time at Halau O Limaloa, I studied with the now late Kumu Aupuni Iwi'ula, who was a Lomilomi Practioner and Kahuna La'au Lapa'au.  He taught me and the fellow haumana( students, classmates) about Ho'omana( Ancient Hawaiian Spirituality), La'au Lapa'au( Hawaiian Herbal Medicine) and Iwi'ula Style Lomilomi.  Iwi'ula Style Lomilomi consists of both Lomi Kino( which is a more hands on healing modality) and Lomi Kahea( which is more of working with energy/ energywork).  Kumu Aupuni passed away in late 2011.

In the Summer of 2014, I applied for and was awarded a full scholarship with Hale Ho'omana Spa Maui in Makawao.  I attended a month long Lomilomi Immersion at Hale Ho'omana, where I learned about the Fundamentals of Lomilomi, Hapai Lomi( Hawaiian Pregnancy Massage, both side laying and on a chair), Noho Lomi ( Seated Massage), Kua Lua( Hawaiian Back Walking), Hot Stone Massage,  Four- Hand Lomi, Spa Therapies with Hawaiian Herbal Medicine, etc.

I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist(LMT) in Hawai'i Nei since early 2009.
