Born and raised in Hilo, Hawaii. In 1973 I met and studied under Koichi Tohei Sensei. This began my interest in bodywork. Tohei Sensei taught me the art of Kiatsu i.e. Aikidos' version of Shiatsu. I enjoyed the work and at that time I never thought of doing it professionally. Life went on, I became a DJ and worked in Hilo on KBIG & KWXX radio. Moved to Honolulu in the late 80's and had the opportunity to work as Jon Kealoha at KQMQ and in the 90's at KSSK. It was great working on the top stations in Honolulu. At KSSK I hosted a show called "Night Magick". It was a show about the unknown, local ghost stories and psychic readings. It was through my guests on the show that sparked my interest again in doing healing work with shiatsu. By chance I met Mark Kauwe "Shiatsu by Mark" and through his guidance I earned my massage license, learning his style of shiatsu. Shiatsu has always been my love. I’ll continue to study, striving to master my practice.
