  • What attracted you to a career in massage?

If I'm being honest, my first day of class, while everybody stated their reasons on why they choice massage for their career path, I let my instructor know I had no intentions on becoming a therapist. I was there solely to learn to help my mother with her pain management. One day, we had a substitute teacher let us know of his experience volunteering for hospice. That was the day I knew I would go beyond my certification to get licensed to volunteer. My plan upon graduation was to do research on massage therapy and how it can help people.

My project this year is to research the positive effects that massage has on people suffering from Alzheimer's Disease.

  • Which school did you attend and which certifications do you hold?

I graduated from Arkansas College of Massage in 2013.

  • What techniques do you specialize in? What issues or conditions does your work help improve?

I combine different types of massage in my sessions, each session specific to each clients needs. I have worked with a light and gentle touch working on the elderly and have given enough pressure for a deep massage for linemen on collegiate football players. Provided services for those who want just an hour of relaxation to those in need for their pain management.

My primary focus is Sports Massage for those suffering from pain, along with Trigger Point Therapy and Isometric Isolated Stretches. For those that require more pressure, I can certainly add as much pressure needed for a Deep Tissue Massage. I also provide services such as Swedish Massage (slow and gentle) with Petrissage (kneading) for those that would like to just lay and relax with a light to medium touch. I also have body cushions for Prenatal Massages and Hot Stones ready for when you'd like a new experience!

Additional Programs for Pain Management: Sciatica, TMJ Disorder, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Lower Back Pain, Shoulder Pain, and much more!

  • What hobbies and other interests do you have?

I like to pretend I know how to sing and embarrass my family with my sick dance moves at gatherings. In my spare time, I can be found getting snuggled underneath a sea of blankets in dimly lit room with my books or watching just "one more episode" on Netflix.
