Mollie Reu is a Reiki Master, Licensed Massage Therapist, and Polarity Practitioner. She began studying the healing arts and Shamanism in 2011. Since then, Mollie has traveled coast to coast working with different bodyworkers, yoga instructors, visionaries and mentors that have inspired her to create the effective compassionate practice she has today. By combining her knowledge of the body, appreciation for relaxation, and passion for helping others achieve their goals, Mollie provides a holistic session that tends to your mental, emotional, physical, and energetic needs.
Mollie started providing energy work in 2012 after receiving her first Reiki Attunement from Erik Majeski at the Yoga Now studio in Chicago, IL. Reiki felt so natural from the beginning and was really the springboard that launched her into a life path dedicated to learning about the body-mind-spirit connection and providing safe, loving, compassionate touch to people who need it most. From there, Mollie continued studying in Chicago with Shaman Joan Forrest Mage at the Life Force Arts Center.
Later that year, Mollie moved to Rhinebeck, New York where she lived and worked at the Omega Institute for Holistic Studies. This yoga and meditation retreat center hosts workshops by such New Age heroes as Deepak Chopra, Eckhart Tolle, Tich Nhat Hanh, Byron Katie, and Pema Chodron, just to name a few. During her time spent in this community she was exposed to many techniques and styles of bodywork. This sparked her interest in becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist and sent her in the direction of Santa Fe, New Mexico to pursue training.
In 2013, Mollie attended the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts where she received certifications in Massage Therapy and Polarity Therapy. This program provided her with knowledge from Eastern and Western traditions like Craniosacral Therapy, trigger point therapy (NMT), hydrotherapy, Astrology, Ayurveda, Reflexology, Chinese Medicine, and more.
Along with these studies and accomplishments, Mollie has been doing yoga since 2004. She loves offering helpful stretches and exercises to her clients to help with balance and alignment so that they may feel empowered and motivated to continue healing themselves in between sessions.
Mollie is happy to be representing Chapel Hill Bodyworks and looks forward to working with you!
