Hanna Simmons is a licensed physical therapist and a John F. Barnes myofascial release (MFR) practitioner. She graduated from Midwestern University with a doctorate in physical therapy. She has over 10 years of experience working in various settings from birth to geriatric populations. Hanna was introduced to MFR when a chronic pain patient had MFR treatment by a PT covering her while she was on vacation. She was intrigued with how much pain relief her chronic pain patient reported and wondered if MFR could ease her own discomfort. After being diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2013, Hanna struggled with discomfort from limited neck mobility after her two surgeries. After attending courses, receiving MFR treatments, and performing self-care treatment, Hanna is living her life with her husband, Scott and two kids, Sophie and Jack with less pain and more mobility and wants to share it with people who want that too!
