After many years in the financial field I decided to make a career change into something I have long regarded as a calling -  massage therapy, but more specifically oncology massage and the treatment of those suffering from Lymphedema. 

After doing a lot of research and soul searching I decided to I take a certification course in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD).  MLD has a profound effect on the body, far greater than massage alone.  After completion of my MLD course work I followed that up with advanced training in oncology massage.  I consider it quite a blessing to be able to connect and assist those who are battling cancer.  My oncology massage sessions are very powerful and moving experiences and I always come away from sessions feeling like a changed person.

After my experience with MLD and oncology massage I was inspired to continue my training and become a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT).  If you are suffering from Lymphedema I am a low cost alternative to physical therapy or outpatient clinics for long-term management.  Unfortunately, the State of Illinois does not allow Licensed Massage Therapist to charge insurance (even if they are CLT certified) so I am unable to work with insurance reimbursement.
