I have lived in the Big Valley most of my life, though have spent time abroad. I always knew I wanted to help others. My initial goal was to be a nurse--but found, after being in the program at Fresno State, that this wasn't my calling. I ended up getting my Master's in Special Education, in which I worked for 18 years--8 of those in Germany, for the Department of Defense Dependent Schools. I then became engaged and moved to Florida. When that didn't take, I found a job as a Vocational Evaluator for the disabled, which I did for about 4 1/2 years, until my Dad passed away--when I knew it was time to return to California to be near family. I taught for a few years, and worked for a local hospital foundation. I then worked as an administrator for three residential homes for the developmentally disabled, for 7 years. So, this is my 4th career! I'm returning to my medical roots, as a Medical Massage therapist. I am loving the wide range of learning opportunities in this field, and I can't get enough! My goal is to find out whatever is most effective and learn how to do it as well as possible, so I can help bring relief to those in pain. I believe that God has led me on this journey, and I am happy to be His instrument for as long as He wishes!
