Natural choices for all stages in life.

Hi my name is Mindy and I got interested in natural childbirth when I went to massage school at Myotherapy School of Massage in Utah in 1997. There I learned you did not have to have an epidural to have a baby. I was shocked, I had always  been told how horrible birth was and you had to have pain relief. I learned that  much of what I was learning in massage school also can apply to giving birth.  Deep relaxation, gentle movements, massage, pressure point work, deep abdominal  breathing, and ...

Deep relaxation, gentle movements, massage, pressure point work, deep abdominal  breathing, and listening to our bodies. I learned birth can be a beautiful and wonderful experience.

I decided to take a Bradley Method class to prepare for our first baby and loved my class and birth so much I decided to become a teacher a few years later.  I took my first childbirth teacher training in The Bradley Method ® in April 2004. I am have now continued my education with Informed Beginnings and am very excited to pass on the things I have learned and the amazing wealth of information about childbirth and breastfeeding. I am always inspired and awed to  play a small part in this amazing process.

April 2013 I became a prenatal massage specialist at Salt Lake Prenatal Massage where I was able to work with hundreds of prenatal and postpartum clients before becoming the prenatal massage specialist at inSPArations day spa in Layton.  I have also expanded my prenatal massage and childbirth education training to include doula training that gives me added comfort techniques for labor, emotional support to help the mother and partner deal with unexpected situations in labor, and mother advocacy to help them create their optimal birth experience.

Everything was great, as it always is. The neighboring business got a little loud for a few moments, but it did not effect the overall massage quality.

Mindy is the best massage therapist that I have found. I throw my back out and get migraines a lot and she always helps it feel better and loosen the muscles. She also was my massage therapist throughout my last 2 pregnancies and my doula on the last one! She helped me through postpartum issues and all the pain that comes during pregnancy :) I've been seeing her for the past 4 years and wouldn't think of going somewhere else.

As a sufferer of arthritis Mindy has helped me greatly. I have followed her to her new office and I have no regret doing so.

I used Mindy during my last few weeks of pregnancy with twins, to work out all of the painful kinks in my body. I am going into labor pain free and relaxed. She is great and has a deep understanding of massage and especially prenatal massage. Highly recommend.
