Natural choices for all stages in life.

Hi my name is Mindy and I got interested in natural childbirth when I went to massage school at Myotherapy School of Massage in Utah in 1997. There I learned you did not have to have an epidural to have a baby. I was shocked, I had always  been told how horrible birth was and you had to have pain relief. I learned that  much of what I was learning in massage school also can apply to giving birth.  Deep relaxation, gentle movements, massage, pressure point work, deep abdominal  breathing, and listening to our bodies. I learned birth can be a beautiful and wonderful experience.

I decided to take a Bradley Method class to prepare for our first baby and loved my class and birth so much I decided to become a teacher a few years later.  I took my first childbirth teacher training in The Bradley Method ® in April 2004. I am have now continued my education with Informed Beginnings and am very excited to pass on the things I have learned and the amazing wealth of information about childbirth and breastfeeding. I am always inspired and awed to  play a small part in this amazing process.

April 2013 I became a prenatal massage specialist at Salt Lake Prenatal Massage where I was able to work with hundreds of prenatal and postpartum clients before becoming the prenatal massage specialist at inSPArations day spa in Layton.  I have also expanded my prenatal massage and childbirth education training to include doula training that gives me added comfort techniques for labor, emotional support to help the mother and partner deal with unexpected situations in labor, and mother advocacy to help them create their optimal birth experience.

Very personable-- she asked what I needed and went right to work. She was spot on with the pressure and the methods to get my aches out.

I do love Christmas music but would prefer traditional spa music for a massage.

I’m a midwife and I am pregnant and I have struggled to find a good prenatal massage therapist in Davis County. I finally found her!! Mindy is amazing!! She’s got the right cushions and props for pregnancy and she has magic hands!! I’ll definitely be using her for my pregnancy and postpartum and referring her to all my friends and clients!

Mindy was easy to talk to, worked on the areas that often bother me, and even recommended a great chiropractor. I have felt really good after my massages from her.
