I graduated from East-West College of the Healing Arts in Portland, Or in March of 2010 where I completed my Massage Therapy training. Outside of the core curriculum I went on to learn additional modalities which included deep tissue, myofascial, craniosacral and thai massage. Deep tissue was the class that made everything make sense.  It made me think, instead of just performing gliding strokes with oil. The study of posture and structure was amazing to me and I find it fascinating with every client I meet. Everyone is different, and believe it or not I learn something new from each bodywork session.  When it comes to the human body, thinking you know everything will just make you look like a fool in the end. Understanding that although we all have the same bones and muscles (for the most part) our structure and postural deviations are all different. Techniques that work for one client may not for another, and that is perfectly fine.  That is one of the reasons why I love bodywork, it keeps me on my toes, keeps my brain active and allows me to teach others about their body and the way they move.
