Deep Tissue

I have been doing deep tissue since i was in school .I specialize in working on the back and glutes for relieving all sorts of muscular pains; sciatica, low back pain, hyperkyphosis, scoliosis and much more.

Hot Stone Massage

I have been doing hot stone since 2011 and took a online course with Castine Consulting. over the years I've had plenty of people feel relaxed and fall asleep during this session. The heat from the stones allows for easier access to the deeper layers of muscle, i do incorporate deep tissue for those that like a firmer touch.

Swedish

We learn this technique in school , i don't do a lot of this type of massage due to the fact most people request for deep tissue massage . For the people that do get it from me they either fall asleep or are most likely about to drool on my shoe for being so relaxed .

Prenatal

I have been doing prenatal massage since 2014 . i do a lot of site specific work for the mother- to- be , so generally whatever area is bothersome for that session i focus on .( most want glute work due to sciatic pain, and low back and feet).

Creative Forearm and Elbow Techniques

i took this continuing education class to save my thumbs because most therapist only last 7 years at most in the field . Amy Appel was the teacher and she did a amazing job things that i didn't think were possible she showed us ( using the elbow on the face to relieve sinus pressure). crazy but awesome.

Orthopedic Massage Techniques for Cervical Pain

I took this class in 2013 and Jeannie Staudt was the teacher . the class gave a better understanding of what things to look for with neck conditions and how to treat them.

Arthritis

Teacher Charlotte Michael Versagi taught how to treat rheumatoid and osteoarthritis with massage therapy. This was a basic training class .

Medical Massage

Charlotte Micheal Versagi was the teacher , the class was an introduction on what and how to treat specific medical conditions.

Oncology

The class was also taught by Charlotte Michael Versagi , it was a introduction/ showing of specific techniques for cancer patients .

Massage was awesome! Had some deep knots that I knew she wouldn't get out in 1 visit, but they are pretty dang close to gone. Conversation was great too, which for me, relaxed me more than the music. Just seems more natural that way.

Dana always asks what area needs the most work and will focus a good amount of time to that specific area. She can tell exactly how much pressure to use without causing discomfort and still able to get tension out of muscles.
