Pranada is the founder and owner of Amrita Healing Arts and has over 12 years of professional experience in the healing arts.  She has worked as a Massage and Bodywork therapist in private practice, in clinical settings and at some of the top spas in California and Hawaii.  She is currently in private practice in Nevada City, CA where she recently moved.  Pranada has passionately studied nutrition since she was a teenager, including at the college level, specifically vegetarian nutrition.  She also offers Wellness Lifestyle Consultations that are based in the tradition of Yoga.  She owns and operates an online organic Superfood Nutrition Store and writes about holistic health and yoga.

After receiving her BA in Cultural Anthropology, Pranada found her passion in the healing arts and studied Advanced Massage and Bodywork through the School of Shiatsu and Massage in California.  There she learned and fell in love with Cranial Sacral Therapy as well.  She went on to pursue Energy Medicine and Polarity Therapy with Bruce Burger at Heartwood Institute.  She has advanced training in Traditional Thai Massage in Thailand and India through the Sunshine Network. Pranada is currently studying Ayurvedic Healing with Dr. David Frawley and The Institute of Vedic Studies.  Her bodywork sessions reflect a wealth of knowledge paired with intuitive and compassionate touch that works on the physical as well as energetic body.

Integrative Massage is a relaxing therapetic massage in which the therapist combines massage modalities to meet the need of the client. The massage may be gentle or deep depending on the needs and preferences of each client. Integrative Massage is skillful and intuitive and can be used to reduce tension, stress, pain and support the healing of injuries.

Traditional Thai Yoga Massage combines assisted yoga stretching, acupressure, shiatsu-like pressing, rocking and rythymic motion and is performed fully clothed on a floor mat.  Its like having someone do yoga to you. Thai massage improves flexibility, opens the joints, enhances the freedom of breath and induces a calm meditative state of mind that is also energized.  Also great for relieving back pain and for athletes who need more stretching.

Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Massage natural oils are used along with rythymic, nurturing strokes, deep breaths, deep tissue focus on problem areas, joint mobilization, and acupressure point work.  Underlying this work are the traditional roots of shamanism of Polynesia which brings the power of intention to increase healing as well as inspiriation from natural elements like water and wind.

Cranial Sacral Therapy Gentle manipulations are used on the bones of the skull, pelvis, spine and diaphragms of the abdomen to release them and allow the body to deeply relax and unwind patterns of restriction.  Cranialsacral treatments are often used for those affected by trauma, emotional and mental stress, back pain, migraines, TMJ, and trauma to the head.

Energy Medicine works to clear and balance energy fields within the body as well as to balance its electromagnetic field.  Energy Work such as Polarity Therapy can be deeply relaxing and allow one to unwind stress and come into a deeper state of balance and well being where the body can naturally heal itself. It is also useful as a support in clearing energy blocks that contribute to pain, injury and emotional imbalances.

Yoga Privates are a way to develop a yoga practice individually suited for you.  It is also a space to work on a specific injury or health challenge.  We incorporate Ayurvedic principles and sound biomechanics and alignment to work with your energetic and structural challenges.  A session may also include meditation and breathwork instruction as well as chakra balancing.
