As an avid athlete and outdoor adventurer, I often myself reaping the costs of the physical benefits I pursue.  I found a fantastic therapist to help treat my physical ailments, but was pleasantly surprised to find that my time spent with them was also helping me with my emotional ailments.  It was through those months on their table that I began to see the correlation between the mind and the body, and found that while my physically challenging and rigorous activities were of course creating some physical discomfort, there were also many emotional and psychological traumas that I hadn't been dealing with that were manifesting themselves in my body. I began talking to the therapist about the school they attended, and decided to go give it a visit.  I was amazed by how much I felt like I needed to be there the moment I walked into the Colorado School of Healing Arts.  I enrolled, moved to Lakewood, and began my journey towards being a healer, while still working on healing within myself.

It has been my goal since I started school to create a co-op of individuals who specialize in various forms of therapy that work with trauma, and work together to help each individual client find the tools that work best for them.  Covid put some steps I hope to take to further myself in my career and along this path on hold, but things are gaining momentum again!  The near future holds training in CranioSacral Therapy, getting my Reiki Master Certificate, and focusing on PTSD specific modalities.

As an avid athlete, I have a natural knack for Sports Massage and bodywork as it relates to our body as a machine, and do thoroughly enjoy that work as well, so the next big obstacle for me is to find a way to combine the physical and the mental benefits of bodywork into my practice so my clients can reap the positive aspects of both, while also fueling my inner fires.
