I left with a spring in my step that lasted throughout the week.

Whenever I have something not feeling right in my body I can explain it to Rob and usually in 1 or 2 sessions the pain goes away. The sessions are a little expensive but well worth it.

I’ve gone in for two 40 minute myofacial massages so far. My appointments have been relaxing and cathartic, my muscle tension and ‘zingers’ have markedly reduced, and I am walking more comfortably. I highly recommend Rob at James River Myofacial!

Rob always does an amazing job and helps my pain like no one else can. He has helped my fibromyalgia pain and headaches. Highly recommend his myofascial treatments.

Myofascial release worked well with my neck . Rob knows how to feel into the body to find the tension pattern and knows how to release it. Thanks Rob!

I cannot recommend myofascial release therapy enough—especially with a practitioner trained in the John F. Barnes approach. Working with him has been a truly transformative part of my recovery journey after a traumatic knee injury and multiple surgeries. When I started, my body felt tight, restricted, and honestly stuck. Through his expertise and the gentle yet incredibly effective John F. Barnes techniques, he has helped “unlock” areas I didn’t even realize were contributing to my pain and limited mobility. Session by session, I’ve experienced real progress—not just physically, but in how my body feels and moves overall. His space is just as special as his work. From the moment you walk in, there’s a sense of calm, safety, and healing. It allows you to fully relax and trust the process, which makes a huge difference in this kind of therapy. What sets him apart is his patience, intuition, and deep understanding of the body. He listens and he truly cares about long-term healing—not just quick fixes. I’m so grateful for the role he has played in my recovery. If you’re dealing with pain, injuries, or feeling “stuck” in your body, this work is life-chang
