I began giving massages to my dad at the rip-'ol-age of 5! After that I became the unofficial massage therapist for every team or marching band I ever joined. Realizing I had an aptitude for it, I decided to go to the Honolulu School of Massage in 1997 and became licensed in that same year. Ultimately, I wanted to use massage therapy as a means to help people reduce stress and the pain we create in our bodies through daily life activities and leave them feeling amazing.
While at the Honolulu School of Massage I studied traditional Swedish massage, deep tissue, sports massage, Lomi Lomi massage techniques, foot reflexology, craniosacral techniques, lymphatic drainage, therapeutic stretching, pregnancy massage, Shiatsu, hydrotherapy, hot stone, and aromatherapy.
In addition to being licensed by the MBLEx through the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB), I also hold an active massage therapy license in the state of Maryland. I have been previously licensed in the states of Maine and Hawaii. I also am nationally certified as an occupational therapy assistant (COTA) by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. (NBCOT) and hold a license as a COTA in the state of Maryland.
My specialty is in therapeutic massage where I combine Swedish, deep tissue, Lomi Lomi, Shiatsu, reflexology, craniosacral, and stretching. This style relieves the greatest number of conditions including, headaches, stiff/sore neck and shoulders from computer work and stress, back pain, sore legs and sciatica pain, arthritis, and general fatigue. My hope is to help those with injuries, or stress, or both, to feel their absolute best!
My office, Intuitive Massage Crofton is located at the Crofton Princess Center in the Mixed Elements Salon. If online availability does not suit your schedule, contact me and I will try to schedule your request to best meet your needs.

I felt my mind and body was transported to a peace-filled place thanks to Kristen's gift of knowing exactly what my body needed during the massage.

I felt amazing after my massage! She found areas in my upper back that I didn't even realize were tight and worked them out. I felt free and relaxed after!!
