A 2008 graduate of the Healing Arts Center, Sara has a genuine passion for creating a healing space for her clients.
Sara discovered a type of bodywork called DeepFeet Bar Therapy® and was convinced this was the best type of massage therapy she had experienced! Because she can be above the client, just the right angles allow her to balance both sides of the body. She believes this sends a message to the brain to relax and release to a very deep level. Utilizing her soft, clean feet combined with her body weight, Ashiatsu provides a deep and consistent pressure. The consistent pressure allows you to relax into the massage and allows your mind and body to continue in it’s relaxed state for the duration of the massage and beyond! The root word “Ashi” in Japanese, means “foot” and “Atsu” means “pressure.” Together they represent a natural massage that unifies with gravity in order to provide the “deepest, most luxurious massage on the planet.”
Her many years as a ballet student have given her a unique understanding and physical awareness to help the body function at its optimal level. An Ashiatsu session is like ballet, combining rhythm and grace to create a beautiful piece of artwork!
Using her fundamental knowledge of Swedish Massage, Deep Touch, Myofascial Release, and stretching (at home and in the session) many of her clients seek her success in relief of TMJ discomfort. Sara’s personal journey with TMJ discomfort is one of the many reasons she found herself in the massage therapy profession. Because she struggled with this discomfort herself, she has acquired exemplary abilities in helping her clients find relief through head and neck massage.
Through years of yoga study, Sara has developed a spiritual practice that is integral to her massage and the energetic health of her clients. Through this, she educates her clients on how to identify and connect with their body. She wants you to feel good in between sessions and if discomfort finds you, to know how to acquire the relief you need. She understands that each person is on their own journey and her intention is to create a space for you to find healing. Sara strives to empower you to Discover your Potential and Flourish in your Wellness.
