My name is Elizabeth Remmers. I am a yoga teacher and Thai bodyworker who found the path of healing and self-care in 2013. A year before graduating, I was an engineering master’s student suffering from burnout and a life out of balance when I discovered yoga. I learned to breathe fully, deeply and consciously. I learned to relax completely. And I found that there is so much more to yoga beyond the physical postures. My yoga class provides a safe space to be present with the self, and lovingly accept where you are each day. Every body is completely unique, so everybody’s yoga practice will be completely unique too. In class I encourage everyone to pay close attention to their body, notice its sensations, and listen to its wisdom. This practice promotes harmony between all levels of the mind, body and spirit.

In June 2017 I received my certification in Thai bodywork, an ancient healing art that incorporates acupressure, energy work, and yoga-like assisted stretches. I begin a session by centering myself- filling myself with gratitude for the moment and for the opportunity to offer unconditional loving kindness to another being through touch. From this place of gratitude and complete presence, I offer a full-body treatment of acupressure, assisted stretches, gentle rocking and rhythmic compression. Throughout the session, I may use my hands, feet, elbows, knees, and forearms. In Thai bodywork, a powerful exchange of healing energies flows back and forth between giver and receiver. The receiver feels relaxed, energized, and more in tune with the universe after a session, and their glow radiates and fills me with joy and gratitude. This practice is truly medicine for us both.

I look forward to meeting you on the path.

Namaste.
