NMRT Scoliosis

Scoliosis is a very treatable condition if you know the right moves. Even clients with congenital forms of scoliosis can receive great relief from the techniques offered. I have learned Nueromuscular techniques, and Body Insight to aid in the “unwinding” of the rotational forces that hold scoliosis in place and combine effective stretching and exercise necessary to assist my clients in developing structural balance. Home exercise protocols will be given to encourage continued client participation in maintaining structural integrity.

NMRT Thoracic Outlet/ Carpel Tunnel

Many of the same shoulder dysfunctions that entrap nerve and blood flow affect both disorders, Thoracic Outlet and Carpel Tunnel. I have received the training and developed the skills as a corrective therapist by using advanced neuromuscular rehabilitation strokes, mobilization techniques, ice and hydrotherapy to help my clients overcome repetitive strain injuries. Successful treatment of repetitive strain injuries allow my clients to remain on the job and be productive.

Betsy is amazing. I have been in chronic pain for close to 4 years now. I have done all the things pain pills, PT for two years, massage therapy, acupuncture, trigger point injections, PRP, lots of imaging doctor after doctor I even had two discs replaced in my neck still no relief. I have seen Betsy twice and each time it has brought me relief. I now believe it is my fascia that is causing all of this pain and not one Dr. has ever mentioned it. I now feel confident that I will be able to get my life back.

Betsy was kind, communicative, and did an amazing job! I've had severe plantar fasciitis for 9yrs as well as fibromyalgia and hEDS. I was amazed when I got up after my massage and wasn't in pain! I hadn't been that pain-free without heavy medication in years. She really took the time to find out where the problem areas were and seems to have an excellent understanding of how the muscles and fascia all connect. I am very grateful and I will absolutely be returning to her for more sessions.

I waited three days to write this so that I could assess the impact of the massage on my training. Immediately afterwards, I felt great during a hard rowing workout, the next day my range of motion in power lifting was much improved, and today, for the first time in years, my left arm moved freely while swimming. Amazing results! Betsy precises addresses first the facia and then the muscles with careful attention to connections and interactions throughout the body. She uses the full hour,, wisely deciding what to emphasize and what will have to wait for next time (and there will be a next time--many 90 ....). I have had a lot of kinds of "sports massage," but Betsy works at a higher (and often deeper) level.
