Lacouir has also been an instructor at the East-West Healing Arts Institute since 2005, teaching TuiNa massage, Acupressure Point Location, sports massage integration, body mechanics and mindful movement practices.
As the owner of his own practice and clinic since 2004, he has partnered with Acupuncturists, Chiropractors, PT’s and Athletic Trainers to provide Chinese Medical Massage and Sports Massage Therapy to a variety of individuals ranging from medical professionals to athletes. LaCouir has experience and a deep passion for working with Dancers, Movement and Martial Artists.
He has also worked with a number Tri-athletes, soccer and hockey players and swimmers providing what he now calls TuiNa Integrative Massage and Movement Therapy. Lacouir continues to volunteer many hours of community service at local sporting, school and charity events. He is a skilled “out of the box” practitioner that utilizes a multidisciplinary treatment plan.
Lacouir’s background includes certification and training in Chinese Medical Massage (Tuina), Acupressure, Deep Tissue, Orthopedic, and Sports massage. He also has training in Natural Exercise utilizing bodyweight, resistance bands, medicine balls, martial arts, gymnastics, and urban dance. His specialties are working with individuals suffering from chronic to acute issues such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Frozen Shoulder, Fibromyalgia, Low back and neck pain, Post-Surgery Recovery, enhancing Sports Performance through Pre, Intra and Post-event/workout restoration and injury prevention. Lacouir combines Bodywork and Natural Movement Therapies, Nutrition and Lifestyle coaching to help assist his clients in experiencing less day to day stress and a pain managed life.

Lacouir D. Yancey, Bboy Spirit, is a Madison, WI based community organizer whose work focuses on building integrated health and wellness practices. Since graduating from East West Healing Arts Institute in 2002, Lacouir opened his business, Y-Massage, Bodywork and Natural Movement, which has been a successful practice for over 20 years. He is the Co-founder of The Black Poets Society (a live hip hop music group) of Madison WI, 1992 and TRUTH4CHANGE organization (t.r.u.t.h. is a community-based organization that provides social, economic, health & wellness resources for young adults), 2020. Lacouir is the founder of The Soul Hydraulics (Breakdance crew) of Madison, WI, 1998. He is a Licensed manual and bodywork therapist, a certified personal trainer, and a corrective exercise and urban movement specialist. Lacouir’s movement background started in gung fu “southern style praying mantis”. He began learning the foundations of breakin’ in the early 80’s. He eventually got into gymnastics which led to him receiving an All American Award in gymnastics floor exercise. He has trained in capoeira since 1996 with a focus on the style of Angola since 2005. He is the leader of the FACA. US chapter in Madison WI, teaching under Dr. Edward Powe. He has also trained with FICA under M. Cobra Mansa. Lacouir has also been a guest Instructor in the UW Madison Dance Department teaching break dance and capoeira foundations for the past 9 years. Lacouir has been a guest performer with the Peggy Choy Dance Company for the past ten years. He blends a multitude of movement traditions and manual therapy into a healing art practice he calls "Freedom Movement Therapy." Lacouir’s aim is to help individuals feel and move better with uplifted vitality and freedom.
