"Healing the Body and Mind through Professional Body Work"

I am a father of four beautiful girls and am so lucky to be a father! They are the joy of my life and the primary reason I am still here. They are all unique with their own talents and gifts and what they have to offer the world. I am lucky to watch them grow into beautiful young women.

After my divorce in 2018, I immediately switched career gears and jumped into massage therapy college. I attended Intermountain Massage Therapy College where I was taught many of the wonderful important techniques I still use today. The 850 Hour+ program was and is still primarily focused on Structural and Myofascial work, Deep tissue, Stretching, Trigger Point and other useful and important techniques and therapies that I feel are most beneficial for my clients. I chose this program because I wanted to focus more on injury prevention, recovery, and the preventive healthcare aspect of massage therapy

This year in August 2025 I competed and placed in my first bodybuilding competition in the NPC!

I can easily say was one of the most challenging things I've ever accomplished. I KNOW anatomy and physiology. I absolutely do not know everything but continue to learn and grow in my knowledge and skill set. I am highly successful as a massage therapist because of my knowledge, my skills, my intuition and my good nature.

Intuition is a sort of "Sixth Sense" when applied to massage therapy. Intuition only comes through many hours of hands on practice, application of learned knowledge and techniques in real physical life, and knowledge of human anatomy and physiology. Intuition is feeling and sensing there is a source of the issue or problem at hand and a puzzle to solve. There is a real energy and connection to the client and their muscle or fascia and it is AMAZING to truly be able to discover what the client specifically needs both physically and mentally!

Thus "Healing the Body and Mind through Professional Body Work" is what I am always focused on. Many people come to me for true full body mental and physical healing and recovery.

Massage creates a deeply profound connection between the therapist and the client that goes far beyond loosening tight muscles although that is just as important. It is truly sensing and feeling what each person needs, focusing on these trouble spots, helping relax the mind and spirit, helping the client grow more in touch with their own mind and spirit and finding what truly heals them. As a caring, nurturing human, I am here to help each individual find and resolve their physical and emotional challenges to become a happier more balanced person!

I thank you for the opportunity to work with you.

 Why The Massage Guy?

1) Many refer to me as an "artist" or "healer". It takes a special type of personality, skill, experience, and intuition to become a true massage artist.

2) I am highly trained and intuitive. Each person has unique challenges and it requires focus and skill to address what each person needs specifically.  I listen to your muscles and body through touch and intense focus.

3) I am a decent human! I try to get to know my clients, their challenges, and maintain good energy and ground myself before each client session. I am not perfect and have many of my own life battles but I intentionally focus on you and your needs. Many clients have mentioned how comfortable and relaxed they feel around me and they feel calm.

4) My primary focus in massage therapy is YOU and restoring balance through injury prevention and recovery, reduction of stress and anxiety, addressing trigger points or adhesions in the myofascial layers, and reducing or eliminating tightness in muscle tissue. I accomplish this through Deep Tissue massage,  Myofascial Therapy or Trigger Point, Stretching and Range of Motion, and Swedish Massage.

Each session is customized according to what your body is telling me to focus on.  I am very intuitive and make your very specific and individual needs, my number one priority and focus on restoring your balance and healing. My talent and ability to help others has been proven. I continue to seek knowledge and learn new techniques over time. I am licensed through the state of Utah and passed the national MBLEX. I am also currently an instructor at a local massage college in Bountiful, Intermountain Massage Therapy College.

I've always been a little anxious when it comes to massages because of my own insecurities (this was my first real massage) but Cory's calming presence and friendly demeanor made it easy to let my guard down and relax. Cory was attentive to requests and incredibly professional. For someone with chornic neck pain, this was a very welcomed relief. I'll definitely be back! 5-Stars!
