I practice massage therapy and, in an outpatient orthopedic physical therapy clinic, work as a physical therapist assistant.  I have practiced in this field for 16 years.  My heart is to help people relieve pain and stress, and achieve full mobility to achieve their highest potential.

It is exciting to live passionately, pursue dreams....and make everything out of each day...unencumbered by physical limitations.  I enjoy contributing to your endeavor.
Combined with my gift of touch, I enjoy using mind-body awareness to facilitate your balanced connection.  I have a background in Human Development and Education, from which I am able to draw.
I enjoy moving.  There is health in movement.  With health, there is freedom to create.
Creativity. Wow!

My specialties are Therapeutic Massage, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Maternity Massage, Hot Stone Therapy and Active Assisted Range of Motion Stretching.

My interests have included friends, food, travel, dance, racquetball, swimming, skiing, hiking, jumping waves at the beach and my kitty cats!

Active Isolated Stretching

Active Isolated Stretching: Studied extensively with Aaron Mattes. This modality is very effective with balancing muscles, addressing tension related to overuse syndrome.

Myofascial Release I, Pediatric Myofascial Release

Studied with John Barnes, Myofascial Release is a manipulative treatment that attempts to release tension in the fascia due to trauma, posture or inflammation. Connective tissue called fascia surround the muscles, bones, nerves and organs of the body.

Infant and Pediatric Massage

Focus on massage therapy for children with special health care needs. Techniques are introduced for working with children with various physical, developmental and mental challenges. Benefits and importance of individualized adaptations for use with massage therapy are part of the curriculum. Emphasis is placed on the consideration of each unique child.

Massage Cupping

Massage cupping, studied with Dr. James Mally, is an innovative technique that involves moving flexible silicone, or plastic cupsovetr the client's skin, along with stretching. The combined effect lifts the skin and superficial fascia over the underlying tissues, releasing the adhesions and scar tissue from overuse, trauma, or sports.

Prenatal Massage

Trained in Mama Mio, mama's touch maternity treatment, with special focus on relieving back and hip stress and pain associated with pregnancy. As well, this special treatment is designed to relieve discomfort and achiness associated with related low level swelling and tension. This Prenatal Massage Treatment will calm and soothe the sensitivities of the expecting Mother, providing comfort and care during this special time.

REVIEWS for my Bodywork services

by Isaac on Oct 17
Bonnie did a really good job and my shoulder feels much better.
by Luke on Apr 10
Bonnie was great and has particular skills in mobility and stretching that were an incredible addition to the service.
by Douglas on Jan 27
Bonnie did a great job of applying pressure. Most masseurs, when you tell them you want as much pressure as possible, don’t apply enough out of fear I can’t take it.
