My journey to becoming a Massage Therapist started out in the health and fitness industry. After receiving my BS in Nutrition from the University of Cincinnati, I took a job as a Nutritionist at the Sports Club in Phoenix AZ. After a few years I accepted a job offer to be a Spa Director in San Diego to open a new Resort Spa for Hilton Hotels. This was an amazing opportunity. From there I moved to Miami and worked at many different luxury resort spas. I realized that I knew very little about what my staff did so I decided to go to school at night to become a Massage Therapist to supplement my professional career and knowledge base. However, one month into school I knew that the full time practice of massage was my real calling. I quit my Spa Director job and went to school to study massage full time. I've been a Massage Therapist ever since. It was hands down (no pun intended) the best professional decision I ever made.
I tell everyone I know I have the best job in the world. My clients are
always happy to see me and they feel better when they leave. What more
could you ask for?
