My story begins with the birth of my son in 2015. His birth was such an amazing experience for me that I began to look into ways to be closer to the birthing community, including starting my own massage business where I could focus specifically on serving my dear prenatal clients.

My story begins with the birth of my son in 2015. His birth was such an amazing experience for me that I began to look into ways to be closer to the birthing community, including starting my own massage business where I could focus specifically on serving my dear prenatal clients.
The idea of being a doula didn't completely enter my mind until my best friend asked me to come to the birth of her second daughter (which happened to be at the same birth center I had my son!). I mostly was there to take pictures for her, but I ended up helping her through contractions and left feeling so exhilarated. I knew this was where I was meant to be -- helping other women through this amazing process of birth, supporting them and helping them achieve the best birth experience possible. The very next day I looked up birth doula training and within a month, attended the Birth Doula Skills Workshop at Bastyr University. Very shortly after that I booked my first client, and the rest is history!
In November of 2017, I took a workshop for experienced doulas to further my goal of certification. Happily, as of June 2018, I am now a certified doula with Birth Arts International!
Since beginning my journey into the birth world, I've supported women in 25 different births (two from the same mother!), and have assisted over 200 women in reducing their pregnancy aches and pains with prenatal massage.
