I'm about to tell you about my early years and what primed me for massage school, having never had a massage before, but it seems irrelevant now. even my first introduction to Thai massage as a modality didn't prepare me for how it would alter my life but here it is, long story short.

I would give my peers shoulder rubs in high school when they would ask, and I got nothing but positive feedback. I graduated high school with a trajectory to law enforcement. I began by working 12 to 14 hour shifts at night guarding empty construction sites and parking lots. It was boring, to say the least. One long night I heard a radio ad for a massage school. Two weeks later I had one picked and I was enrolled.

At Cortiva I learned in-depth anatomy, relevant pathology, assessment and treatment protocols, industry standards and many, many valuable insights into the human machine, as only a school of intuitive and compassionate healers can provide. I was also introduced to the world of massage modalities. (This refers to the different approaches to massage, just about every country has one.) I decided to go for a modality that was time-tested, holistic and powerfully effective.

Learning Traditional Thai medicine (TTM) took everything I learned in massage school and elevated it to the next level.
