Greetings!  I am passionate about supporting people on their journey toward feeling better in their bodies. I have been fortunate to have studied with some incredible teachers and mentors including:

-Becky West and Leah Jirsa of West by Northwest School of Massage in Everett.  This is where I completed a 760-hour massage therapy training program that built a foundation for my career.

- Lena Ixchel, my craniosacral therapy teacher. I became certified in Biointelligent Craniosacral Therapy after 240+ hours of hands-on training plus many hours of practice.

There are countless methods on the path to healing.  It is my personal philosophy that healing through bodywork does not have to be painful.  Recent studies have shown that chronic pain is more connected to our nervous systems than our muscles and structures.  Releasing muscles is only a portion of what we can address.  My work centers around bringing ease to the nervous system and supporting client's movement into their parasympathetic or "rest and digest" state, to optimize the environment for our healing work together.

The way we live in this culture and society can be dysregulating to our systems, there are countless things vying for our attention and energy at one time, and many of us are left frazzled, disembodied and tense.  I feel fortunate to be a massage therapist because I get the chance to offer clients a small respite from the demands of daily life.  Through our work together, I hope to leave clients feeling more connected to their body, more regulated and rejuvenated.  You will find me with an empathetic ear and ready hands...It will be my honor to serve you as my client!

When I'm not working, you can find me cooking a new recipe from a library cookbook, in the garden with my husband, reading, traveling, camping/hiking, or hanging out with our flock of 5 chickens.

The first thing I noticed about Debi is her aura of calmness, as if I entered a zone of "there is no rush here." She begins with an interview to understand needs and make a plan and she takes time during the massage to make sure it is meeting expectations and adjusting as necessary. I have signed up to receive her healing massages twice a month.
