I have studied Craniosacral therapy at three different schools so far. The most notable experience was studying at the Esalen Insitute through the Upledger Institute. It was a true sign of evolution bringing two schools together to teach this modality. Being next to the sea for five days learning Cranio Sacral Therapy gave me an opportunity to truly hear the Craniosacral rhythm. This can be a difficult to hear. But being at Esalen, this place opened up my senses to this treatment.
I worked at the Waterstone Spa from 2007-08. I learned spa treatments at this spa. Hydrotherapy was a common spa treatment here. I love the use of hydrotherapy, it is very therapeutic for ailments and people living high stress lives. I also worked here for the full duration of my pregnancy with my second child. It was amazing that I could still massage people at 9 months!
