I have been a massage therapist since 2001 after graduating from Heartwood Institute in Northern California. I initially became interested in massage therapy after sustaining several manual work related injuries as a teenager and young adult. By the time I was 21 I had sustained a broken tail bone, a major soft tissue/joint injury to my jaw, a soft tissue injury to my pelvis, and was feeling the beginnings of carpal tunnel syndrome. I was in a great deal of pain and believed that choosing a path where I could not only heal my own body but also learn to heal others was the right decision. I began my career feeling very much better and was focused on helping others with their chronic pain and healing of musculoskeletal injuries. I have always been a dynamic thinker and problem solver and have been enthralled by the challenge of understanding the patterns of pain, restriction, and movement. I have also had an abiding interest in herbal medicine and nutrition and have studied health from that perspective in depth over the course of my career. Over the past 6 years I have focused my healing practice on the application of Myofascial Release Technique for helping those in their healing process around chronic and acute pain. I have worked successfully with whiplash, low back/spinal pain and dysfunction, headaches/migraines, carpal tunnel syndrome, jaw/tmj pain, digestive issues including acid reflux and chronic constipation, plantar fascitis/foot pain, early stage arthritis, knee/hip pain, scoliosis, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, post traumatic stress disorder, and more. Recently I have been doing a substantial amount of training in Cranial Sacral Therapy and am happy to be offering CST treatments both integrated with MFR and independently. CST is a gentle, non invasive therapy that works with the subtle rhythms of the central nervous system as well as other parts of the body. During CST you will be fully clothed and experience deep relaxation, soft tissue release, resolution of pain and emotional strain, and greater freedom in you body and mind.

I have maintained a thriving private practice specializing in Myofascial Release for chronic and acute pain and healing of body, mind and spirit here in Eugene OR since 2012.
I practiced Myofascial Release both in a home office as well as in a Midwifery clinic in Redway, CA between 2004-2012. I specialized in prenatal work and post natal rehabilitation as well as assisting clients with chronic pain, acute injury, post surgical treatments, and those dealing with trauma.
I worked for Dr. Eva Whitmore as a massage therapist and assistant between 2001-2004 where I treated patients primarily dealing with pain from automotive accidents and workplace injuries. I learned a great deal from Dr. Whitmore in the beginning of my career and brought those lessons of professionalism and integrity forward into my private practice experiences.
Since 2014 I have worked as an herbalist, health counselor and wound care attendant with Occupy Medical in Eugene OR. I provide free of charge health consulting and no cost herbal medicine/health supplements to all regardless of financial situation weekly as well as working with a team to maintain herbal apothecary supplies and administrative/non profit support.
