I have been a massage therapist since 2001 after graduating from Heartwood Institute in Northern California. I initially became interested in massage therapy after sustaining several manual work related injuries as a teenager and young adult. By the time I was 21 I had sustained a broken tail bone, a major soft tissue/joint injury to my jaw, a soft tissue injury to my pelvis, and was feeling the beginnings of carpal tunnel syndrome. I was in a great deal of pain and believed that choosing a path where I could not only heal my own body but also learn to heal others was the right decision. I began my career feeling very much better and was focused on helping others with their chronic pain and healing of musculoskeletal injuries. I have always been a dynamic thinker and problem solver and have been enthralled by the challenge of understanding the patterns of pain, restriction, and movement. I have also had an abiding interest in herbal medicine and nutrition and have studied health from that perspective in depth over the course of my career. Over the past 6 years I have focused my healing practice on the application of Myofascial Release Technique for helping those in their healing process around chronic and acute pain. I have worked successfully with whiplash, low back/spinal pain and dysfunction, headaches/migraines, carpal tunnel syndrome, jaw/tmj pain, digestive issues including acid reflux and chronic constipation, plantar fascitis/foot pain, early stage arthritis, knee/hip pain, scoliosis, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, post traumatic stress disorder, and more. Recently I have been doing a substantial amount of training in Cranial Sacral Therapy and am happy to be offering CST treatments both integrated with MFR and independently. CST is a gentle, non invasive therapy that works with the subtle rhythms of the central nervous system as well as other parts of the body. During CST you will be fully clothed and experience deep relaxation, soft tissue release, resolution of pain and emotional strain, and greater freedom in you body and mind.

Private Practice

I have maintained a thriving private practice specializing in Myofascial Release for chronic and acute pain and healing of body, mind and spirit here in Eugene OR since 2012.

Private Practice

I practiced Myofascial Release both in a home office as well as in a Midwifery clinic in Redway, CA between 2004-2012. I specialized in prenatal work and post natal rehabilitation as well as assisting clients with chronic pain, acute injury, post surgical treatments, and those dealing with trauma.

Balance Chiropractic and Wellness

I worked for Dr. Eva Whitmore as a massage therapist and assistant between 2001-2004 where I treated patients primarily dealing with pain from automotive accidents and workplace injuries. I learned a great deal from Dr. Whitmore in the beginning of my career and brought those lessons of professionalism and integrity forward into my private practice experiences.

Loved the quiet, calming room. And Roxanne's quiet, calming presence. The treatment, itself, felt good at the time and, as of now, the next day, I am at my lowest pain level in a long time.

Roxanne is very sensitive, and understands TRUE healing. I never cease to be amazed how much her ability to translate myofacial release therapy into true healing is spot on every single visit. If you have any kind of chronic condition or pain, I highly recommend you seeing Roxanne. She is a true healer.

Within the scope of 'we're all a work in progress', my star score generously leaves you room for your journey. However, within the scope of these superficial scoring systems - the americanization of value - I give you all fives. Thanks for all you do.

Roxanne has worked wonders on my body. She listens closely to my description of what is happening, asks pertinent questions, and then provides a very intuitive treatment with great suggestions for after-care. I recommend Roxanne to anyone, especially those interested in getting to the root of their problem. I have had many different kinds of body work in my life, but the benefits I have had from Roxanne's treatment are superior to anything else I have experienced.

Roxanne is an amazing massage therapist. She has been able to get things to shift with my body that have been problems for a long time. I enjoy her energy and thoughtfulness around working to find out what the root of the problem is. She is very knowledgable!

Lasting improvement seems to be slow improvement, but after only one visit the amount of relief I felt was astonishing--and it's sticking; the relief persists. Breathing's easier, stress seems overall diminished, and I'll be coming back to get the next layer worked on!
