Miri Newman-Paul, BA, LMT, is a graduate of a comprehensive 720 hour program from The National Holistic Institute in Los Angeles, CA.  She has a background in  developmental psychology and a decade of experience learning, practicing, and teaching massage therapy. 

Trained in a wide variety of modalities (including Myofascial Therapy, Prenatal Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Acupressure, Hot Stone, and working with Motor Vehicle Accident clients), she specializes in Swedish/Deep Tissue Massage, incorporating additional techniques from other modalities into her relaxing signature massage. She is driven by a naturally supportive disposition and a desire to help others heal, reduce stress, and feel at home in their bodies. 

As a lifelong student of the somatic sciences, Miri is committed to continuing education, ever deepening her understanding of musculoskeletal issues and the body-mind connection in an effort to best serve her clients. She believes that the key to optimal wellness rests in accessing the body-mind connection and that bodyworkers are uniquely able to assist people in this way by helping to manually soothe hyperactive nervous systems, facilitate deep states of relaxation, and educate people on the value of caring for themselves. She enjoys her work very much and finds deep fulfillment in helping people manage and resolve their pain and stress issues, and seeing them heal under proper care and attention. 

Miri is fully vaccinated with both doses of the Moderna vaccine, and works in a practice with other fully vaccinated therapists.
