Alexandria Tackett completed her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training at Satya Yoga and Wellness Center in June, 2017. This vibrant and committed young woman is excited to offer the blessings and healing that can be experienced through the practice of yoga. The Erie community is fortunate to have many gifted teachers and Alex is an inspiring and innovative addition to this generous and talented group. Throughout her youth, Alex was moved deeply by observing the beauty and mystery of nature. Shining stars, uniquely shaped clouds against a deep blue sky, the smell and sound of rain, the glistening of snow, the bloom of spring; all of this magnificence was her first glimpse of mindfulness meditation. The practicing of “noticing” without judgement in the present moment began a journey that led her to the practice of yoga. As with many of us, life’s inevitable struggles led Alex to a path that took her away from the spiritual peace she had experienced through nature. This life sustaining peace would elude her until fate stepped in and placed her in a nurturing environment where she discovered yoga. The peace and calm she had discovered through her love of nature surrounded her as she laid on her mat following the guidance of a nurturing teacher. She knew at that moment that this was her purpose, her dharma. After studying and practicing with several teachers, she committed to a certification program at Satya. Alex is available for private sessions, studio teaching, and institutional teaching.
