In 1985, with a degree in Athletic Training and Physical Education, Dena began pursuing her passion for increasing physical health through rehabilitation. She became certified as a NATA Certified Athletic Trainer and specialized in injury care, rehab, prevention and assessment of injuries on and off the athletic field. She has worked with all ages and levels of athletes and non-athletes for the past 30 years ranging from middle school to Olympic and Professional athletics, and the elderly. She has worked in Sports Medicine Facilities, Physical Therapy offices and high school and college athletic training room facilities. She has an advanced knowledge of orthopedic conditions and training in rehabilitation and restoration. She started Therapy Works to pursue a holistic approach to rehabilitation and helping others reach and exceed their physical goals. Dena's focus is on the client/patient needs at every appointment and she customizes every treatment session to address current concerns or dysfunction. When not at work, Dena enjoys spending time outside with her husband and four children hiking, biking, practicing yoga. She also continues to learn about and teach the importance of movement.
