Hi there, I'd like to first thank you for your time and consideration. My name is Megan and I'd like to share with you my story, a little about me and how and why I have decided to take the journey towards starting my own practice. I was working in a skilled nursing facility as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and I loved my job, however it was emotionally and physically draining to motivate my clients each day to participate in anything. I had a handful of clients that I would utilize some basic massage techniques, ROM (range of motion) and stretching in order to help alleviate pain and increase functional use of their extremities that were impaired due to contracted muscles and other various physical disabilities and/or diagnosis. My clients' loved these treatment sessions, they reported feeling so much better, were extremely grateful for the work I had done, and were looking forward to our next session. This is when I decided I wanted to look into Massage and learn more about it. Before I knew it, I was enrolled and I would be beginning classes at Lincoln Tech. The moment I started I knew I had found my passion. I now use my knowledge and skills as a Licensed Massage Therapist and my background and clinical views as an Occupational Therapy Assistant to offer my clients a uniquely tailored therapeutic massage experience. Starting my own practice and helping clients has been amazing and my journey has only begun. With opening M.L. Davis Oasis, I’ve started to create a space, where I will be able to combine Occupational Therapy and Massage Therapy with a variety of other holistic wellness services to create a uniquely wonderful Wellness Spa where clientele have a variety of services available to them to fully meet all of their wellness and self-care needs; truly embracing the mind, body, spirit approach to wellness!

Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork Technician
Associates in Science Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant
I completed the Forearm Fusion certification and have been incorporating the technique into my massage sessions for 3 years now, with great results and positive feedback from clients. Forearm Fusion is a massage style utilizing all aspects of the forearm including the soft surfaces of the massage therapists forearms, as well as various aspects of their elbows. This means no hands are used for a deeper and more relaxing massage. I completed this certification with Jim Funk, who is an amazing massage therapist and who was recently inducted into the Massage Hall of Fame earlier this year at the 2019 World Massage Festival.
I completed Reiki Level I this past year, June 2019 with Billy Downing Reiki Master Teacher. Although I've only been practicing for a short amount of time, I've always felt intuitive and drawn to energy work. I plan to continue to explore this interest in energy work by taking Reiki Level II this year.
I graduated from New England Institute of Technology in 2013 with an Associates in Science Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant. I've practiced in various settings over the years, obtaining valuable knowledge along the way. I decided to focus solely on my private massage practice in 2017, but I truly believe that my background and clinical knowledge as an Occupational Therapy Assistant is the foundation for which I have created the uniquely tailored massage experiences I offer to my clients as their Massage Therapist.
