I'm a licensed massage and bodywork therapist located on the edge of Durham and Chapel Hill and have been practicing bodywork for three and a half years. I received my massage and bodywork training from an accredited program at Durham Technical Community College and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. My education and training in philosophy ties in pretty heavily to my approach as a practitioner, especially with consideration to links between eastern and western philosophical thought and how that reflects in the practice of healing. 

It inspires my curiosity about how we relate with our bodies and experience consciousness. I’m learning modalities of practice right now that utilize principles and ways of understanding the body found in yogic and doaist philosophies in conjunction with standard anatomy & physiology knowledge to serve at a greater capacity. 

Some things I really enjoy about this trade are the experiences of the mechanics while working, the flow state the work inspires, & other subtleties of the practice itself as an art form based on various sciences while also seeing the immediate and lasting effects reflected in people’s well-being in body and mind. 

It's a privilege to get to work with the body so closely and I plan on practicing and perfecting this craft for a long time, with the aspiration to teach one day as well.

Outstanding service as usual! I can't stress enough how intentional and thoughtful Sean is with his practice. After my session, I shared with him how easily my hands fatigue after attempting to work on my particularly tough muscles at home, such as my forearms and heel. He took the time to sit down with me and show me how I can utilize my limbs, especially my elbow, to work my fascial layer with much less effort. My thumbs are so thankful! :D I left feeling both amazing and empowered to perform self-maintenance of my body more effectively and safely. As an avid runner, yogi, and overall fitness enthusiast, I really appreciated his care for my longevity. 11/10 would recommend to anyone!!

Excellent experience all around! Sean is incredibly skilled and thoughtful in his practice. I came in with a sore back and stiff shoulders, and after 1 session I already feel better than I have in months. I would highly recommend!
